Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Calvary Christian School (CCS). It is exciting to see God’s leading and direction in the development of our school. CCS exists as a supplement to the parents’ own teaching, enabling the parents to be more effective in their time with their children. Please read over the CCS application carefully and fill it out completely. We are praying that God will send families to Calvary Christian School who desire a thoroughly Christ-centered education for their children. No one will be denied admission on the basis of gender, race, color or national origin. Families seeking to enroll students for the upcoming school year should follow the procedure outlined below.

STEP ONE: RECEIVE INFORMATION PACKET You may pick this up either at the school office or we can mail it to you. Enclosed in this packet will be a school brochure, which will briefly explain our philosophy, the financial considerations, and most importantly, the *product* of CCS. We would invite you to visit the school; ask any questions you might have; visit the classroom and speak with the teacher. Please make an appointment to visit so we will have someone available to serve as your host.

STEP TWO: TUITION DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE IN CERTAIN CASES There is a limit on financial aid. Request a financial aid application. (All school fees still apply)  If the parent paying tuition is on disability through social security.  If the parent paying is a single parent.  If one of the parents paying tuition is in vocational ministry. i.e. pastor, evangelist, missionary, church staff member.

STEP THREE: FILL OUT AN APPLICATION Fill out completely the application including the section to be completed by student. Please give to your Pastor the *Pastor Recommendation* form. Encourage him to fill it out and return as soon as possible.

STEP FOUR: INTERVIEW All new families to CCS must set up a time to have an interview with the Pastor and the Administrator. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other and to answer questions. If your young person is in grades 7th - 12th the parent and the student must attend the interview.

STEP FIVE: TESTING All new students must take an evaluation test. This should be arranged with our Administrator.

STEP SIX: ENROLLMENT PACKET Once a student has been officially accepted the parent will obtain an *Enrollment Packet* which will be available in June. Included in this packet will be school calendar, a supply list, emergency form, medical form, consent form and a school handbook. Should you have any other questions please feel free to call us. We are here to be of help to you. We are praying that God will direct you in your decision.
