Athletics

CCS athletic department is committed, along with the school’s administration, to providing our student-athletes with an athletic experience that capitalizes on the inherent value of athletic competition. We believe that participation in extra-curricular activities, especially athletics, is vital to a student’s overall educational experience as well as their personal development; emotionally, spiritually, and physically. According to the NFHS (National Federation of High School Athletic Associations), students who participate in activity programs such as athletics tend to have higher grade-point averages, better attendance records, lower dropout rates and fewer discipline problems than the general student population. Involvement in interscholastic activities teaches teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-discipline, all of which are qualities indicative of success later in life as a healthy contributing member of society.
Participation in athletics at CCS comes with a great responsibility to represent our school both on and off the playing field or court. Most importantly, however, it presents our stakeholders-- student-athletes, coaches, and parents -- a platform to share the love of Jesus Christ. At CCS, we embrace this responsibility and understand that while we will work tirelessly in preparing for competition and striving for victory, it means nothing if we forsake our relationship with Christ while doing so.
